Skip tracing and locate
When the addressyou have is no good.
People move, change jobs, change their number. Skip tracing is the work of finding where someone actually is now, using lawful public records and old-fashioned legwork, so the papers can be served.

What it is
A locate service — nothing more mysterious than that.
Skip tracing is what happens between “here are the papers” and “here is a service address.” If the address on the filing is three years old, or the person has moved across the county, serving them is not a matter of trying harder — it is a matter of finding out where they are.
We do that with the lawful public record, with the research tools we are permitted to use, and with legwork: asking the neighbors, the landlord, the employer, the family member who still lives in town. Then we verify what we have before we act on it.
You get a workable address in writing. If you want us to serve there too, we can do both — locate, then serve.
How we go about it
Four kinds of work, done in order.
Public records
Court filings, property and assessment records, and the other lawful public sources that show where a person has been and where they landed.
Recorded data
Database research across the records we are permitted to search, cross-checked against each other so one bad entry does not send us to the wrong door.
Legwork
Neighborhood and workplace inquiries, and asking the questions that a database cannot answer.
Verification
Before anyone knocks on a door, we confirm the address is current — so the attempt is a real attempt, not a wasted one.
Address found
A current, workable address reported back to you in writing.
Address verified
Confirmed before we attempt service, so the attempt counts.
Service attempted
If you want us to serve as well, the papers go out with the locate.
